If the devs take these suggestions into mind I feel the PS5 version could be VASTLY improved. I do not hate the game or the devs, this is purely meant to be constructive criticism. Now that my rant is over, I feel I need to make it clear. The way I see it is the devs have two options: optimize the game enough to enable a smooth 120HZ output or CAP the framerate at 60 and give us the option to enable v-sync IN THE MENU. There is no v-sync option unless you wish to forfeit trophies and enable it through dev commands. It is as if the devs didn't play test it it is so bad. it is a nightmare you will CONSTANTLY have screen tearing especially indoors where framerates are even higher (remember no 60FPS cap) making for a terrible experience. This uncapped framerate results in constant dips throughout gameplay making it very annoying to play almost to the point I would prefer the locked 30, and the screen tearing. It runs the game at an UNCAPPED framerate, without enabling 120HZ output. Now for performance mode, this is the worst integration of a performance mode I have ever seen, it sacrifices extra detail from the graphics mode to run at a higher framerate. Now comes my main issue, the performance and graphics mode, for graphics there isn't enough of a noticeable difference in texture quality from performance mode to justify the cap to 30.LOD and loading are much much better than on PS4.The textures have been slightly improved so that is a plus. The game makes poor use of the enhanced 3D audio options from Sony, (it sounds the exact same as it did on PS4.).swinging the knife or shooting one of the guns). No adaptive triggers, would've been cool for some of the features present in Subnautica (i.e.The game never had rumble features to begin with, but would've been a welcome addition with the Dualsense's capabilities. This "upgrade" however, is more of a glorified patch. I was excited to hear a PS5 upgrade would be coming for Subnautica. I bought it on PS4 around 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Let me preface this by saying I love Subnautica.
